Extensive stakeholder consultations on the MFCC draft standards (2019-second draft) for SFM (plantation and natural) have recently been completed through an open, transparent, consultative and consensus based process. Myanmar Criteria and Indicators for Forest Management Certification Standard of Natural Forest and Plantations are combined as one standard according to a series of public stakeholder consultations. With the permission of Minister of MONREC and consensus of SWG, TWG and MFCC members, Myanmar Criteria and Indicators for Forest Management Certification Standard (2020) is approved in 19th June, 2020. It will be reviewed and revised periodically according to MFCC Standard Setting Policy and Stakeholder Engagement and Public Documents Policy.
Interested parties can download the SFM Standard, and we welcome any comments outside of any formal consultation period. Any emailed comments/ feedbacks received outside of a formal consultatin period will be recorded and an acknowledgement reply sent. However, MFCC can not guarantee that comments made outside a formal consultation can be incorporated into a redrafting process when that process itself is already underway. In such cases, comments will be carried over for consideration to subsequent revisions. Thank you for your understanding.
